    Events and Updates

As part of the arranged visit to Todmorden on 17th October 2019, we welcomed, the Lord Lieutenant for West Yorkshire and his guests for the day that included the High Sheriff of West Yorkshire and the Mayors of both Todmorden and Calderdale.

The Friends of Centre Vale Park were invited to present ourselves and our work and showcase the park. The weather was extremely kind to us and a warm Autumn morning provided us with a great opportunity to highlight aspects of the park and our future and current projects.

The visit to Todmorden was clearly an enjoyable experience as per the quote from the Lord Lieutenant ….

'I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed today. Thank you so much. You have a wonderful community spirit in Todmorden. It really was heartwarming to experience it today.'
